The recruitment platform we built and run.
FTBL Exchange
FTBL Exchange connects clubs, agents and players. A club or agent posts a request with the real terms, agents put forward players who fit, and players can apply for themselves. The club is never named on a request, and a club never sees a player's wage, only whether it sits inside or above the budget.
No paid tier, no commission, no advertising.
Open FTBL Exchange (opens in a new tab)Why we built it
Paid recruitment platforms charge per player, per seat or per window. A one-person agency with a good striker cannot justify that, and neither can a club two divisions down, so neither of them shows up. We took the price out, then built the rest around making a free platform worth trusting.
How it works
For clubs
Post a request with the real terms: position, league, the salary on offer, contract length, and whether bonuses, housing, an allowance and flights are included. Your club's name never appears on it. Set the rules that matter, such as a passport, an age band or a level floor, and choose whether each one is a must-have or a preference.
Each player put forward is placed as Start now, Squad, Stretch or Can't place, checked against level, style and formation, or set aside as a different position, not enough data or not suitable. Every placing comes with its reasons. Shortlist, compare up to four side by side, or pass with one tap and a reason. When you want to talk, message on the platform or open WhatsApp with whoever put the player forward, and you are told whether that is the player or their agent.
You never see a player's wage, only whether it sits inside or above your budget.
Create a club account (opens in a new tab)For agents
Paste a Transfermarkt link, or import your client list from your Transfermarkt agency page, and each profile is built for you once we have checked it. Set each player's wage floor and availability once. When a request fits one of your players, you get an email.
Before you put anyone forward, you see whether they are likely to suit and which rule they miss, so you never pitch a player the club has already ruled out. You can post requests too, when you are the one looking.
Create an agent account (opens in a new tab)For players
Paste your Transfermarkt link and a highlights video. Once we have checked your account, your CV is built for you. It reads well on a phone and shows a preview card when you send it on WhatsApp. Apply to any open request yourself, and if an agent built your profile first, you can claim it.
Create a player account (opens in a new tab)How it keeps its standard
- Agents and players cannot type over the numbers.Career history, minutes, contract and market value are pulled from Transfermarkt and match data. Agents and players cannot edit them. Only we can correct a wrong pull.
- Every proposal is checked by fixed rules.Matching follows fixed rules, and every verdict shows the reasons behind it, so a club can see why a player was placed where they were.
- Players are levelled. Each player is placed in one of five level bands, read from the leagues they have actually played in. The leagues sit on one scale, set mostly from the market value of their squads. How the levels work (opens in a new tab)
- A person checks every account.Nobody goes live until we have approved them. Agents can add their FIFA licence number, and we check it against FIFA's register.
- No page lists the players to strangers.A profile opens only through a share link from the player, their agent, or the club they were put forward to, and every one of those links can be withdrawn.
What we built
We designed FTBL Exchange and we run it: the data collection, the level model, the matching and verdict rules, the request emails and the share links. It is the same kind of build we take on for clubs and leagues.
